Curriculum Daniele is a specialist in Medical Physics. He studied at the University of Pisa, where he got his degree in Physics in 2004, and his postgraduate diploma in Medical Physics in 2008. Since 2003, his work in the FIIG group have focused mainly on the physics and mathematics of X-ray Computed Tomography (CT), and more specifically on the theory and implementation of tomographic reconstruction algorithms. Today, Daniele is active in the development of the new MicroCT scanner for small animals, as well as in the development of user-friendly software for PET/SPECT/CT image fusion with the YAP-(S)PET scanner. He also collaborates with the Institute of Clinical Physiology (IFC-CNR) of Pisa, where he worked on his postgraduate thesis on post-processing of cardiac PET images. Research Interests
