Abstract
The Laboratory 'New Materials for laser applications' is part of NEST - INFM collaboration. It is placed at the Physics Department 'E. Fermi' of the University of Pisa. The main research activities consist in the Czochralski growth of fluoride crystals both pure or doped with rare earth ions and in the spectroscopic analysis of fluoride or oxide samples doped with rare earth ions.
