I was amused by the idea of using a BT headset with Skype (of course, under my beloved openSuSE 10.2 toshiba laptop).
To do this, I switched back to kde.
The headset is a Siemens HHB-600 (thanks, Federico!). It is straightforward, actually! There is an excellent page on How-to use a BT headset with SuSE 10.0, on openSuSE website. It works for openSuSE as well, as a matter of fact.
The only snag is Skype. My version (1.3.0.53) differs from the one
described in the openSuSE page. But it is simple enough: in Tools,
Options, Sound device, select OSS (not ALSA!), and you will find there
the required dsp1
Happy Skype-ing!
(incidentally, this is posted using gnome-blog-poster from within KDE :))
