However, it is necessary to take the <strong>TOLC-S<\/strong> (Test OnLine CISIA for Sciences), a knowledge assessment test. Based on the test results, you may be assigned an <strong>OFA<\/strong> (Additional Educational Obbligation).<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h5 id=\"at-8890\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Information about TOLC-S<\/h5><div id=\"ac-8890\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p><strong>Registration and timing.<\/strong> The TOLC-S can be taken:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>from the<strong> fourth year of high school<\/strong>, even before enrollment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at any test center, so not necessarily at the University of Pisa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>multiple times, up to once per calendar month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>to avoid being assigned an OFA, the test must be passed <strong>by December 31<\/strong> of the first year of enrollment. Registration for the TOLC-S is done exclusively through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisiaonline.it\/area-tematica-tolc-scienze\/home-tolc-s\/\">CISIA website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Results.<\/strong> The TOLC-S is considered as <strong>passed<\/strong> if all the following conditions are met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Basic Mathematics module: score of at least 9\/20<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reasoning, Problem-Solving and Text Comprehension module: score of at least 6\/15<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Non \u00e8 necessario comunicare all&#8217;universit\u00e0 il risultato del TOLC-S, che verr\u00e0 acquisito automaticamente<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\"><h5 id=\"at-8891\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\">Information about OFA<\/h5><div id=\"ac-8891\" class=\"c-accordion__content\">\n<p>If the TOLC-S is not passed <strong>by December 31<\/strong> of the first year of enrollment, you will be assigned an <strong>OFA<\/strong> (Additional Educational Obligation), which entails:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"modallink\"><strong>studying<\/strong> on your own chapters 1 and 2 of the material available  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.df.unipi.it\/didattica\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/AppuntiAnalisi_cap1.pdf\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.df.unipi.it\/didattica\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/AppuntiAnalisi_cap2cap3.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>passing<\/strong>, as your first exam, either Geometry and Linear Algebra or Mathematical Analysis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The requirement is in the interest of the student, as this foundational knowledge is crucial for successfully continuing studies in Physics.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>For the procedures described here, please also refer to the Academic Regulations.
