The set of exams and educational activities required to obtain the Master\u2019s Degree is defined by your Individual Study Plan (PdSI), which may be chosen from among those proposed by the Consiglio di Corso di Studi. It is possible to choose a plan from the academic year of enrollment or from a subsequent year. For example, students enrolled in 2022\/2023 may refer to any plan from 2022\/2023 onwards, following the corresponding Guides:<\/p>\n\n
When to submit your PdSI.<\/strong> It is recommended that you define your PdSI ideally before attending courses and certainly before taking exams. This is particularly important in the case of \u201cfree\u201d plans, whose approval is not automatic and can take more time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How to submit your PdSI.<\/strong> The study plan may be submitted or modified at any time during the year via the CAPS – Assistited Compilation of Study Plans<\/a> web portal, which is accessible with your University credentials (the same as those for the Alice portal).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Minimum requirements.<\/strong> The rules that every PdSI must comply with are established in the Regulations and Degree Programme Structure<\/a> of the Master\u2019s Degree. These requirements are automatically integrated into the CAPS portal<\/a> only for study plans officially proposed by the Degree Programme Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As an alternative to the study plans officially proposed by the Degree Programme Board, it is possible \u2014 in duly justified cases \u2014 to submit a \u201ccustom\u201d PdSI. In this case, the proposal will be reviewed by the Degree Programme Board to assess its consistency and suitability with the learning objectives of the Master\u2019s Degree in Physics.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n Not all educational activities are offered within the Department of Physics. For example, you may include courses delivered by the Scuola Normale Superiore<\/strong> and by the Scuola Superiore Sant\u2019Anna<\/strong> in Pisa, as explicitly provided for in many of the proposed study plans.
