Imaging: from detector technology to in-vivo experiments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The third and last meeting of the Physics seminar series at the Pontecorvo Area, during which Nicola\u202fBelcari, professor at the Department of Physics, will deliver the talk <em>&#8216;<strong>Biomedical imaging: from detector technology to in-vivo experiments<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Pre-clinical biomedical imaging encompasses a set of diagnostic techniques that allow non-invasive visualization of physiological and pathological processes in animal models, serving as an essential bridge between basic research and clinical applications.<br>In this seminar we will explore the central role played by physical technologies of radiation detectors in the development of increasingly sophisticated imaging systems capable of providing detailed morphological, functional and molecular information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The convergence of multidisciplinary expertise \u2014 from Physics to Medicine, including Radiochemistry and Biology \u2014 has enabled the creation in Pisa of the See\u2011Life Biomedical Imaging Laboratory, a collaboration between the University of Pisa and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), which today constitutes one of the national reference infrastructures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar will present case studies and in-vivo experiments carried out at the See-Life laboratory, showcasing recent advances and outlining future perspectives in this discipline, emphasizing the direct contribution of these studies to the advancement of translational medicine and to future increasingly targeted and personalized clinical applications.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar will take place on <strong>26 November 2025 at 14:30<\/strong> in Aula Magna Fratelli Pontecorvo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the meeting, a refreshment will be offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is organized by the Department of Physics and the INFN (National Institute for Nuclear Physics) \u2014 Pisa
