Per questo compito ho sviluppato un codice innovativo (SFERA; Star Formation Evolution Recovery Algorithm) in grado di recuperare la storia di qualsiasi galassia dato il suo Diagramma Colore-Magnitudine. Le galassie che ho studiato sono principalmente la nostra Galassia, le Nubi di Magellano e molte galassie nane nel Local Volume. Per la mia ricerca ho utilizzato il telescopio spaziale Hubble (HST) in sinergia con telescopi terrestri come il VLT Survey Telescope (VST) e il Large Binocular Telescope (LBT). Da questo punto di vista sono Co-I di diverse survey galattiche, come i treasury LEGUS@HST e HTTP@HST, e i programmi da terra SSH@LBT e STEP@VST. Pi\u00f9 recentemente sto lavorando a osservazioni molto profonde ottenute con il James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) per un campione di galassie vicine di tipo star forming.","attivita_en":"My research activity is focused on the study of galaxy formation and evolution from the characterization of resolved stellar populations. For this task I developed a state-of-the-art code (SFERA; Star Formation Evolution Recovery Algorithm) able to recover the star formation history of any galaxy from its Color-Magnitude Diagram. My playground is our Galaxy, the Magellanic Clouds, and many dwarf galaxies in the Local Volume. For my research I\u2019m an avid user of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and ground-based facilities such as the VLT Survey Telescope (VST) and the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT). Indeed, I\u2019m an active Co-I of several galactic surveys, like the HST \u201cLegacy ExtraGalactic UV Survey\u201d (LEGUS), the \u201cHubble Tarantula Treasury Project\u201d (HTTP), the LBT \u201cSmallest Scale of Hierarchy Survey\u201d (SSH), and the VST program STEP.
