Entanglement studies of interacting fermionic models
Abstract: In the last decade quantum entanglement has emerged as a new tool for investigating correlated condensed matter systems, boosting a variety of new insights in old and new problems. In the simplest approach, useful information is extracted from the reduced density matrix, obtained by tracing out the degrees of freedom pertaining to a subsystem. Entropies of the reduced density matrix, and the entanglement Hamiltonian are some of the most investigated observables.
Only recently it has been possible to access entanglement properties of interacting fermionic models, by means of quantum Monte Carlo simulations.
I will give an overview of the advancements and techniques used in this context. Further, I will discuss a recent method that allows an unbiased direct determination of the entanglement Hamiltonian.
