The workshop will be held at Dipartimento di Fisica Enrico Fermi,
Università di Pisa. The Department is located in an area at the border
of the historical city walls, formerly site of a clothes factory (hence the
name, popular in Pisa, of Marzotto, the old factory brand name). Main entrance
of the area is in Largo Bruno Pontecorvo, 3, that is at the crossing between
Via San Lorenzo and Via Filippo Buonarroti. This is a useful information since
non-recently updated maps do not show Largo Bruno Pontecorvo.
Being the area within the historical city walls, it can be easily reached by
walking or by bus (the website of the local bus company is
here).
Lines 2 and "LAM Verde" (high frequency), both starting from the main railway
station, have a bus stop right in front of the entrance of the area.
The workshop room will be the 131 at the ground floor of building C. The red
line marked onto the satellite photo shows how to reach the room. Please note
that building C has no reception office (the reception office is instead at the
corner of building B, also marked in the photo with a green arrow).
After the main entrance door,
you will have to pass another door (a firewall door, normally closed, we will
keep it open for the occasion) and go straight on: room 131 is on the right.
