The Department of Physics and the Museum of Physics Instruments – Scientific Playroom collaborate with the Mura di Pisa (ancient Walls of Pisa) in organizing the event “The Moon and the ancient Walls. Astronomical observations and guided night tours” which will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023, on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the Moon landing.
Participants will reach the top of Santa Maria Tower, walk along the section between Porta Nuova and Santa Maria Tower in Pisa, guided by Professor Sergio Giudici and Dr. Francesco Maio. During the visit, participants will also observe the Moon and the stars through two telescopes.
