Laura Zani, Physics Graduate from the University of Pisa, Wins the 2025 Young Experimental Physicist Prize

Laura Zani, who graduated in Physics from the “E. Fermi” Department of Physics, where she also completed her Ph.D., has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Young Experimental Physicist Prize by the High Energy and Particle Physics Division of the European Physical Society (EPS). The prize, awarded to young experimental physicists who have distinguished themselves in the early stages of their careers, recognizes excellence in research in the fields of particle physics and astrophysics.

The young researcher was honored for: “outstanding results in searches of physics beyond the standard model at B-Factories, in particular dark matter portals and lepton-flavor-violating decays of the tau lepton, as well as for remarkable contributions to the construction, commissioning and operation of the Belle II experiment”.
