Massimo D’Elia is currently Full Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Department of Physics of the University of Pisa, where he serves as the Coordinator of the PhD Program in Physics.
He earned his degree in Physics in 1994 (University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore) and his PhD in Physics in 1998 (University of Pisa). Previously, he was a Researcher at the University of Genoa and an Associate Professor at the University of Pisa.
His research focuses on Theoretical Physics, specifically on the study of the non-perturbative properties of quantum field theories, particularly those describing the Standard Model of elementary particles. His work involves numerical approaches utilizing High-Performance Computing (HPC) and, more recently, Quantum Computing.
