On September 26, 2025, the Bright Night will take place in Pisa, the European Researchers’ Night, an event aimed at spreading scientific culture and showcasing the social impact of research.
At Bright Night, the events organized by or in collaboration with the Department of Physics of Pisa include:
- 4:40 PM at Largo Ciro Menotti, the science talk by researcher Maria Irene Tenerani: “Physics for Health: from Research to Therapy”
- 5:40 PM at Logge di Banchi, the science talk by professor Massimiliano Razzano: “The Extraordinary Challenge of Detecting Gravitational Waves”
- 6:00 PM at Piazza dei Cavalieri, the science talk by professor Isidoro Ferrante: “The Physics of Sound and Music”
- 6:00 PM at Logge di Banchi, the science talk by professor Francesca Cella Zanacchi: “Unveiling the Invisible: Super-Resolution Microscopy”, organized by CISUP
- The stand “Street Physics”, at Logge di Banchi, organized by professor Maria Luisa Chiofalo
- The stand “Physics and Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Health”, at Largo Ciro Menotti, organized by researchers Francesca Lizzo and Camilla Scapicchio

In collaboration with INFN, have been organized additional events at Buildings B and C of the Polo Fibonacci:
- From 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm: visits to the INFN and Department of Physics laboratories of Matter Physics.
- From 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm: “The First 20 Minutes: the game to discover how the Universe was born”, organized by researcher Jacopo Pinzino.
- From 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm: debate on “The Boundary between Science and Morality: Fermi’s discoveries and the use of the atomic bomb” with the participation of professors Francesco Forti, Marco Maria Massai, and Agata Mirabella.
- From 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm: “The Latest Frontiers of Physics, told over a chat and a drink.”
