IMMAGINA”: The First Edition of the Theatre and Science Festival in Pisa

T first edition of the IMMAGINA Festival of Theatre and Science will take place from 4 to 6 July 2025. A series of public performances will be held at the Cittadella Galileiana (Pisa) and at the European Gravitational Observatory in Cascina.

IMMAGINA marks a unique initiative that blends theatre and science in a public setting, offering three days of performances aimed at fostering curiosity and dialogue between the arts and scientific research.

The festival will feature a combination of theatre performances and science events, engaging participants in immersive narratives that explore scientific themes in creative ways .

It is open to the general public, free of charge.

The Festival is promoted by the Museum of Physics Instruments (University of Pisa’s University Museum System), the European Gravitational Observatory (EGO), and Teatri della Resistenza APS, with the support of the Regional Council of Tuscany (Pianeta Galileo), the Municipality of Pisa, and the Department of Physics of the University of Pisa. The artistic curator is Dario Focardi, while the scientific coordination is by Sergio Giudici, Massimiliano Razzano, and Vincenzo Napolano.
