On September 29, 2023, the European Researchers’ Night, known in Tuscany as “Bright-Night,” was held in Pisa. This event originated from the initiative of the European Commission in 2005, with the aim of stimulating interactions between researchers and citizens, to promote scientific culture and knowledge in an informal and vibrant context.
The Department of Physics, in collaboration with the Pisa Unit of INFN (National Institute for Nuclear Physics), organized various events:
- Planets and ancient Walls: An astronomical walk above Piazza dei Miracoli, with telescopes pointing at Jupiter and Saturn: Link to event
- Medical Physics in Piazza S. Caterina: Presentation of the latest applications of physics in medicine: Link to event
