The Department is open from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM on all working days.
Outside these hours, access to the offices is permitted only with authorization from the Director and according to the following rules:
- Weekdays – 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM – free access
- Weekdays – 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM – maximum 10 people per building
- Weekdays – 12:00 AM to 7:30 AM – maximum 10 people per building; access allowed only in groups of at least two people, including at least one person trained in Fire Safety and First Aid
- Saturday – 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM – maximum 10 people per building
- Saturday – 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM – maximum 10 people per building; access allowed only in groups of at least two people, including at least one person trained in Fire Safety and First Aid
- Sundays and public holidays – 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM – maximum 10 people per building; access allowed only in groups of at least two people, including at least one person trained in Fire Safety and First Aid.
Access to laboratories outside regular opening hours is always permitted only in groups of at least two people, including at least one person trained in Fire Safety and First Aid (maximum 10 people per building).

Department Closure Days
The Department will be closed on the following dates:
- 1 June 2026
- From 10 to 21 August 2026 (inclusive)
- 7 December 2026
- 4–5 January 2027
During these closure periods, access to the Department is permitted only with prior authorisation and in accordance with the same regulations applicable on Sundays and public holidays.
